Computerized Monitoring System (Typical Example) (1) Hydraulic oil temperature gauge. (2) Low hydraulic oil level indicator. General Function
The monitoring system provides three warning categories.A Warning Category 1 requires only operator awareness. When a Warning Category 1 occurs, the monitoring system causes an alert indicator to turn on.A Warning Category 2 requires operator response. When a Warning Category 2 occurs, the monitoring system causes one or more indicators to turn on. A Warning Category 2 also causes master action light to turn on.Note: The master action light is located on the right side of the dashboard.A Warning Category 3 requires immediate shutdown of machine systems. When a Warning Category 3 occurs, the monitoring system causes one or more alert indicators to turn on. The monitoring system also causes master action light to flash. The action alarm also sounds.Note: Do NOT operate the machine until the cause of the warning has been corrected.Monitoring Hydraulic Functions
For the hydraulic system, there is no condition which would cause a Warning Category 1 to occur.For the hydraulic system, a Warning Category 2 indicates excessive hydraulic oil temperature. If the temperature gauge is reading abnormally high oil temperatures, reduce the load on the system. Allow the hydraulic oil to cool. If the temperature gauge continues to read abnormally high oil temperatures, stop the machine in a convenient place and investigate the cause.For the hydraulic system, a Warning Category 3 occurs when the hydraulic oil tank level is low. This causes the low hydraulic oil level indicator (2) for the hydraulic system to turn on.When a Warning Category 3 occurs during machine operation, stop the machine immediately and engage the parking brake. Stop the engine.
