Remove Two of bolts (2) that are indicated. Install Tooling (A). Remove the remaining bolts (2). Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to remove cover (3). The weight of cover (3) is approximately 123 kg (270 lb). Remove O-ring seal (4).

Remove thrust washer (5) from the cover.

Use Tooling (C) and Tooling (D) in order to remove sun gear (6). The weight of sun gear (6) is approximately 143 kg (315 lb).

Remove sixteen of bolts (7). Note: Discard the used bolts. New bolts are required for the installation.

Attach Tooling (C) and Tooling (E) onto final drive planetary gp (8). The weight of final drive planetary gp (8) is approximately 1338 kg (2950 lb).
Remove the remaining bolts (7). Note: Discard the used bolts. New bolts are required for the installation.
Remove final drive planetary gp (8).

Position Tooling (C) and Tooling (F) onto final drive planetary gp (10). Use set screw (Y) to secure Tooling (F) to final drive planetary gp (10). The weight of final drive planetary gp (10) is approximately 519 kg (1145 lb).

Remove final drive planetary gp (10). Note: Ensure that the sun gear and thrust washer are properly supported in order to prevent the components from falling.

Remove thrust washer (11) from final drive planetary gp (10).

Remove sun gear (12). The weight of sun gear (12) is approximately 47 kg (104 lb).

Remove bearing (13). Installation Procedure
Install final drive planetary gp (10) and final drive planetary gp (8) in the reverse order.
Apply Tooling (G) onto bolts (2).
Use Tooling (H) in order to tighten new bolts (7) to a torque of 450 50 N m (332 37 lb ft) in a circular pattern. Tighten new bolts (7) to a torque of 800 100 N m (590 74 lb ft). Turn bolts (7) by an additional 90°. Note: Bolts (7) are not reusable after the tightening sequence. Always install new bolts (7).
