Gear Track
The maximum allowable depth in the gear track for a pump body that is made from aluminum is 0.38 mm (0.015 inch) on the low pressure side of the unit.

The wear in the gear track (6) is normal after the break-in test is performed. In pump bodies that are made from iron, discard the pump if the wear in gear track (6) is greater than 0.28 mm (0.011 inch). Discard the pump if the wear in gear track (6) is greater than 0.38 mm (0.015 inch) in pump bodies that are made from aluminum.
