Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect". Note: To remove the front tire and the front rim from the 854K Wheel Tractor, it is necessary to first remove the push arms and the blade. For the correct procedure, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Push Arms and Blade - Remove".
Lower the implement to the ground.
Position Tooling (A) in front of the rear tires and behind the rear tires.

Position Tooling (B) under the front frame, as shown.
Use Tooling (B) in order to raise the front of the machine until the tires are off the ground.
Lock Tooling (B) in position.

Attach a suitable lifting device to tire and rim (1).
Remove bolts (2) from tire and rim (1). Note: Be careful not to damage the valve stem when you are removing tire and rim (1).
Use the suitable lifting device in order to carefully remove tire and rim (1). The combined weight of tire and rim (1) can weigh as much as 3856 kg (8500 lb).
Repeat Steps 6 through 8 for the other front tire and rim (1). Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to tire and rim (1).
Use a suitable lifting device in order to carefully install tire and rim (1). The combined weight of tire and rim (1) can weigh as much as 3856 kg (8500 lb). Note: Make sure that the valve stem is aligned with the notched portion of the final drive assembly.
Apply Tooling (C) to bolts (2). Install bolts (2) in tire and rim (1). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 1150 150 N m (850 110 lb ft).
Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the other front tire and rim (1).

Lower the machine to the ground. Remove Tooling (B).
Remove Tooling (A) from the rear tires. Note: After the front tire and the front rim have been installed on the 854K Wheel Tractor, install the push arms and the blade. For the correct procedure, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Push Arms and Blade - Install".End By:
