Description of Change: A new exhaust manifold has been introduced. The new exhaust manifold has improved thermal characteristics. The improved characteristics are elongated holes for the fasteners and a cut in the tie bar. This will enable the exhaust manifold to expand. This will also allow the exhaust manifold to contract. This occurs when the exhaust manifold heats up and the exhaust manifold cools down.Adaptable To: The new 328-8709 Exhaust Manifold has replaced 288-5416 Exhaust Manifold .For the correct procedure to remove the exhaust manifold, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Exhaust Manifold - Remove and Install".
