To Cancel a Throttle Setting
A throttle setting can be canceled by:1. Depressing the right brake pedal.2. Switching off the Throttle Lock Switch (1).To Resume a Throttle Setting
A throttle setting that was canceled by depressing the right brake pedal can be resumed by pressing the Resume Button (3).Throttle Lock Indicator Light
An indicator light (4) will illuminate when a throttle setting is active.Ride Control (If Equipped)
High speed travel over rough terrain causes bucket movement and produces a pitching motion. The ride control system acts as a shock absorber, absorbing and dampening bucket forces and stabilizes the entire machine.Note: The ride control system should be switched to the automatic ride control position or the off position during the loading cycle. This is especially important in the bucket power down operation. Failure to position the ride control switch in the recommended position could result in damage to the machine. Push the top of the switch in to turn on the auto ride control system. A light on the switch will come on, indicating that the auto ride control system is activated. The auto ride control system, automatically shuts off the ride control system, during the bucket down operation and slow travel mode and turns the ride control system on during normal travel.Push the switch to the middle position to turn off the ride control system.Push the bottom of the switch to turn on the ride control system. When the ride control switch is turned on, an indicator light illuminates in the dash.Transmission Quickshift
Move the top of the switch and the transmission will automatically shift from first to second gear when the operator makes a forward-to-reverse direction shift in first gear. When shifting back to forward, the transmission will remain in second gear. The transmission quickshift feature does not affect reverse-to-forward direction shifts or forward-to-reverse direction shifts in gears other than first.Move the bottom of the switch to shut off the quickshift feature. The transmission is controlled entirely by the upshift, downshift, and direction switches on the STIC controller. When the transmission quickshift is on, an indicator light illuminates in the dash.Steering Controls
Directional Steering
Remove the steering frame lock link and store in the unlocked position. The steering frame lock must be removed to steer the machine. See Before Starting the Engine for information. The directional steering, of the machine, is controlled by the STIC steering lever. When the STIC steering lever is moved to the right of center, the machine steers to the right. When the STIC steering lever is moved to the left of center, the machine steers to the left. When the STIC steering lever is released, the lever will return to the center position. However, the machine will maintain the direction in which it was moving. The STIC steering lever must be moved past center in the opposite direction to which the machine was turning to return to straight ahead travel. Left Turn - Move the steering lever to the left (1) to steer the machine to the left. The farther the steering lever is
