Once the desired cut depth is entered press the"OK" button. Note: A plus value above the reference point is referred to as "Fill". A Minus value is referred to as "Cut" which is below the reference point. Therefore, if the display units are set to "Feet" with a value of "-001.55", then the designated depth of the trench will be 0.47 m (1.55 ft) below the reference point. Refer to Illustration 5.Note: "Feet" are represented in tenths of feet.

(7) Designated depth of the trench for the dynamic line
The display will return to the AccuGradeSite Reference System screen. The screen will have a dynamic graphic of the backhoe bucket (6). The screen will show the designated depth (7) that represents the target of the grade level. The line that represents the target of the grade level is displayed once the bucket is near the designated depth. Refer to Illustration 6.
After the "Cut" or "Fill" value is entered, the operator can start digging. The display will provide information in order to help the operator be informed of the depth of the bucket. Note: If the machine is moved the "Benchmark" must be reset. Reset when the Site Reference System is active.Set On Grade
The "On Grade" option allows the operator to select a reference point that is at the same elevation as the desired grade. The "On Grade" option is useful for applications when a long trench is desired and the backhoe must be moved in order to continue digging the same trench. The depth of the trench can then be used as the new reference point.
As needed, reposition the machine in order to continue digging the same trench.
