Position cap (22) to the bracket assembly. Install two locking bolts (21) that secure cap (22) to the bracket assembly.
Measure the vertical inside diameter between cap (22) and the bracket assembly. Record this dimension as Dimension (A).
Measure the outside diameter of the bar on the side of fuel tank (4). Record this measurement as Dimension (B).
to determine the desired thickness of shim pack (23) (not shown), subtract Dimension (B) from Dimension (A). Assemble shim pack (23) (not shown) to achieve the difference between Dimension (B) and Dimension (A) with a tolerance of 0.00 to 0.12 mm (0.000 to 0.005 inch).Note: DO NOT install any shims at this time.
Remove two locking bolts (21) that secure cap (22) to the bracket assembly. Remove cap (22) from the bracket assembly.
Repeat Steps 3.a through 3.e for the bar on the remaining side of fuel tank (4).

Position a suitable lifting device to the lifting brackets on fuel tank (4). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist.

Position fuel tank (4) to the bracket assemblies on the frame. The weight of fuel tank (4) is 1260 kg (2778 lb).
Reference Step 3 to determine the appropriate thickness of shim pack (23) to place under cap (22).
Position the appropriate shim pack (23) to the bracket assembly.
Position cap (22) to the bracket assembly. Install two locking bolts (21) and the hard washers that secure cap (22) to the bracket assembly on the frame.
Repeat Steps 6, 7, and 8 for the remaining side of fuel tank (4).Note: Do not remove lifting device until fuel tank (4) is secure.

Connect hose assembly (19) to vent assembly (20). Tighten hose clamp (18) that secures hose assembly (19) to vent assembly (20).

Install two bolts (15), the hard washers, two washers (16), the mountings, and the locknuts that secure fuel tank (4) to bracket assembly (17).

Connect hose assembly (14) to the fuel shutoff valve. Connect hose assembly (13) to fuel tank (4).

Position wiring harness (9) and the clip to fuel tank (4). Install bolt (12) and the washer that secures the clip and wiring harness (9) to fuel tank (4).
Feed wiring harness (9) through the channel on the bottom of fuel tank (4).

Install the float to fuel tank (4). Position fuel level sensor (11) to fuel tank (4). Install four bolts (10) and the washers that secure fuel level sensor (11) to fuel tank (4).

Connect wiring harness (9) at the electrical connection.

Position guard (8) to fuel tank (4). Install six bolts (7) and the washers that secure guard (8) to fuel tank (4).

Position fuel level sensor (6) to fuel tank (4). Install four bolts (5) and the washers that secure fuel level sensor (6) to fuel tank (4).

Install fast fill fuel adapter (3) to fuel tank (4).

Install dust cover (2) to the fast fill fuel adapter.
Make sure that the plug is properly installed in the bottom of the fuel tank.
Fill the fuel tank to the appropriate level. Prime the fuel
