This manual will also discuss the means of navigating through the various screens of the monitoring system.The monitoring system continuously monitors all machine systems. The monitoring system consists of both software and hardware components. The monitoring system communicates with the Electronic Control Module (ECM) of other systems via the CAN Data Link.Monitoring System
The monitoring system is designed to alert the operator to an immediate problem with any of the machine systems that are monitored. The Monitoring System is also designed to alert the operator to an impending problem with any of the machine systems that are monitored.The hardware components of the monitoring system consist of a monitor display (1).The monitoring system can indicate warnings that have occurred in the ECM of other systems. These systems include the following:
Engine ECM
Machine ECM
Power Train ECM
Implement ECM
HVAC ECM
Aftertreatment ECM
Product Link Elite ECM
Automation ECM
Monitor DisplayFunctional Test
When the battery disconnect switch is turned to the ON position, and when the cab door is opened, the following will occur:
Power is supplied to the machine, engine, power train, implement, and machine ECM's for 2 minutes
LCD display flashes
Alert indicator, park brake indicator, and the cab door status are displayed
Internal cab light is illuminated
Audible alarm sounds twiceWhen turning the engine start switch key from the OFF position to the ON position, the monitoring system will perform a self-diagnostic test.The self-diagnostic test verifies that the outputs (gauges, alert indicators, and alarms) are operating correctly.When turning engine start switch key to the ON position, the key pads flash on, internal cab light illuminates and all ECMs power-up and are shown on the LCD display.The gauges must move to the far right positions. All alert indicators must come on momentarily. All segments of the LCD displays must come on momentarily. The action alarm must sound.
