Bores must be free of paint. Use 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge to lubricate all the bores.
A - - Bore of cap end is 44.55 mm (1.75 inch).
1 1 353-4348 Piston Before tightening, clean threads.
Torque to 200 20 N m (148 15 lb ft).
B 1 457-1614 Cylinder As Bore is 65.04 0.04 mm (2.56 0.0015 inch).
C 1 457-1616 Rod As Diameter is 30 mm (1.2 inch).
2 1 144-9481 U-Cup Seal Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with lubricant that is being sealed.
3 1 296-5139 Wear Ring Before assembly, apply Loctite 638 to wear band groove.
4 1 457-1618 Head Lubricate threads lightly with oil and tighten to 325 25 N m (240 18 lb ft).
D - - Bore of rod eye is 38.2 mm (1.50393 inch).
5 1 144-9480 Lip Type Seal Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with lubricant that is being sealed.
6 - - Before assembly, apply sealant to wiper seal groove.
7 1 9X-6611 Socket Setscrew Apply Loctite 243 to threads.
Torque to 25 5 N m (221 44 lb in).
8 2 162-0177 Plug As Before tightening, clean threads.
Torque to 25 N m (221 lb in).
E - - Length of stroke is 291.5 1.5 mm (11.476 0.059 inch).
F - - Closed length is 553.5 1.75 mm (21.79 0.069 inch).
