Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Drain" for the correct procedure.
Drain the engine lubricating oil into a suitable container. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the correct procedure.

Remove bolt (5) and remove clip (6).
Use Tooling (A) to remove oil filter (13).
Loosen hose clamp (7) and hose clamp (8).
Disconnect hose (2) and hose (4) from engine oil cooler (11).
Remove adapter (12) from engine oil cooler (11) support the engine oil cooler as the adapter is removed. Note: Make a temporary mark in order to show the orientation of the engine oil cooler for installation.
Remove engine oil cooler (11) from the cylinder block.
Remove O-ring seal (10).
If necessary, remove adapter (9) from the cylinder block. Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Ensure that the engine oil cooler is clean, free from damage and restriction. If the engine oil cooler is not clean, free from damage and restriction, replace the engine oil cooler as an assembly.
Clean the sealing surfaces of the cylinder block and engine oil cooler.

If necessary, install adapter (9) to the cylinder block. Tighten the adapter to a torque of 34 N m (301 lb in).
Install a new O-ring seal (10) to engine oil cooler (11). Ensure that the O-ring seal is correctly installed into the recess of the engine oil cooler.
Position engine oil cooler (11) onto the cylinder block. Ensure the correct orientation of the engine oil cooler.
Install adapter (12) to engine oil cooler (11) support the engine oil cooler as the adapter is installed. Tighten adapter (12) finger tight.
Connect hose (2) and hose (4) to engine oil cooler (11).
Install clip (5) and install bolt (6). Tighten bolt (6) securely.
Securely tighten hose clamp (7) and hose clamp (8).
Tighten adapter (12) to a torque of 34 N m (301 lb in). Ensure that the engine oil cooler is does not move as the adapter is tightened.
Install a new oil filter element (13). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil Filter - Change" for the correct procedure.
Fill the engine oil pan to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil Filter - Change" for the correct procedure.
Fill the cooling system to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Fill" for the correct procedure.
