ANNOUNCEMENT
Caterpillar announces Remanufactured 3406C short and long blocks for machine engines with
the 41Z serial number prefix.
3406C SHORT BLOCK

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
This product adds a short block repair option for 3406C engines in machine applications with a
41Z serial number prefix. 0R7943 will service engines with either 108-3912 blocks or 152-7648
blocks.
Reman short blocks come fully assembled with the cylinder block and crankshaft groups and
cylinder pack assemblies.

blocks are acceptable cores for these offerings.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
This product adds a long block repair option for 3406C machine engines certified for Tier I
emissions standards. 0R0844 will service 41Z serial number prefix engines in 980G, 583, D8N,
D8R, 824G, 825G and 826G and other applications that use the head and piston crown contained
in the long block.
This Reman long block is fully assembled with the short block, cylinder head, camshaft, front
housing and gear groups, valve mechanism and cover groups, and water pump.
CORE ACCEPTANCE
Core acceptance for Caterpillar Remanufactured long blocks is simple, visual and requires no
special tools. See Core Acceptance Guideline SELD0029for complete details. Long blocks
from any 3406C engine are acceptable cores for these offerings.
