Remove the air cleaner and discard the air cleaner. Remove the band clamps from the hood.

Drill two 7/16 inch holes (1) 76.2 mm (3 inch) to the right of the existing mounting holes on the left. Widen the 7/16 inch mounting holes (2) on the right 6.35 mm (0.25 inch) to the left. Refer to illustration 1 for placement.

Use the four existing bolts and nuts in order to bolt band clamps (3) onto the hood. Add the four 8T-4896 Hard Washers on the inside of the hood.

Insert the new 198-6801 Air Cleaner Gp into band clamps (3). Use the new 4B-1260 Screws and the two existing 6L-7161 Square Nuts in order to secure the Air Cleaner. Make sure that the dust drain (5) is pointing downward. Make sure that the band clamps do not interfere with retaining clips (4) for the end cap of the cleaner housing.

Note: Make sure that the band clamps do not tighten on the raised ribs (6) on the air cleaner housing.

Install 198-6802 Intake Stack (7). Use clamp (8) that is provided in order to secure the intake stack. Install 077-9549 Cap (9) .
