Locate the battery disconnect switch and turn to the OFF position.
Inspect the battery cable that is routed from the right side battery to the left side battery. Inspect the cable in order to ensure that the cable did not rub against the frame, the cooling package, or any other component.
If the cable has damage, replace the cable.
Remove the existing cable and mounting clamps.
Install the new cable. Install the cable mounting brackets.Note: The brackets inside the battery box should be oriented with the bent leg upward.

Route the cable in order to avoid contact with the frame or the cooling package.

The existing harness clips (2) need to be installed upward.

On machines that are equipped with air conditioning, secure the air conditioning hose assembly (3) in order to prevent the hose from rubbing on the battery cable. Use a clip and a cable strap to secure the hose.
The negative cable may require adjustment by rotating the cable at the ground stud to gain 13 mm (0.50 inch) clearance with the positive cable and the air conditioning hose assembly.Note: The overflow hose needs to be rerouted. The overflow hose must drain through the bottom of the battery box.
