Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove nut (2) and remove ball joint (1) from the engine.

Remove clamp (3) and move hose assemblies (5) out of the way.
Disconnect harness assembly (7) .
Remove bolts (6) and remove throttle solenoid (4) .Installation Procedure

Install throttle solenoid (4) and bolts (6) .
Connect harness assembly (7) .
Reposition hose assemblies (5) and install clamp (3) .

Install ball joint (1) and nut (2) on the engine.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
