Hydraulic Activation Control Lever
Locked - Move all controls to the HOLD position. Move the lever back to the locked position. This makes all factory installed hydraulic controls inoperable.
To start the engine, be sure to put the hydraulic activation control lever in the LOCKED position. If the lever is in the UNLOCKED position, the engine start switch will not function.
Unlocked - Move the lever forward to the unlocked position. This makes the factory installed hydraulic controls operable.Boom, Stick, Swing and Implement Controls
The pattern of the implement control levers can be varied by changing the way the control hoses are connected. See your Caterpillar dealer for the procedure. Some patterns may not be available in your area. See your Caterpillar dealer.

To change the 2-way valve position, use the following procedure. The 2-way valve, if equipped, is located at the left front of the main control valves. Loosen bolt (1) and place lever (2) in the correct position. To select the BHL system, turn lever (2) fully clockwise. To select the SAE system, turn lever (2) fully counterclockwise. After turning lever (2) to the desired position, tighten bolt (1) securely.Hydraulic Hammer Controls (If Equipped)
