Remove the engine oil cooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Cooler - Remove".

Disconnect tube assembly (1).
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove oil filters (5). Drain the oil from the oil filters into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Discard the filters.
Remove four bolts (2). Remove three bolts (4) and remove the oil filter base (3).
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

Remove plug (6), spring (7) and plunger (8).
Remove plug (11), spring (10) and plunger (9). Installation Procedure
Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Install the engine oil filter base in the reverse order.
Apply clean engine oil to the seal which is found on oil filter assemblies (5). Hand tighten oil filters (5) until the seal contacts the sealing surface of the oil filter base (3). Tighten oil filters (5) to an additional turn of 270 degrees. Change the engine oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".
