Ensure that the valve mounting surface is clean and free of any debris. While cleaning, take care to prevent debris from getting into the cylinder head end port.

Insert spacer (3) with o-ring seal (4) between the cylinder head and quick-drop valve (5) using bolt (7), bolt (8) and two washers (9). Tighten bolt (7) and bolt (8) to a torque of 215 40 N m (160 30 lb ft). Refer to Illustration 3.
Install one piece flange (1) and rectangular seal (2) between the tube and quick drop valve (5) with four bolts (6) and four washers (10). Refer to Illustration 3
