To override the material that was selected by the on-board software, complete these steps:
Open the "Material Selection" dialog using one of the following methods: Material Selection - Touch the button.Menu - Open the main menu and select "Ore Control" > "Material Selection".
Select the desired material type and select "OK". The "Override Material" is applied to the truck that is currently being loaded. If no truck is currently being loaded, then the override material will be applied to the next truck.
If desired, enable the "Hold" check box to allow the "Override material" to be used for all future truck loads. The override material will be applied until any one of the following occurs:
The hold is disabled by unchecking the check box.
A new material is selected which then applies the hold to the new material.
The "Clear" button is selected.Note: The "Hold" check box may not be visible as this option can be disabled in the machine configuration. If this option is required, request this feature from the Terrain Site Champion.
If desired, select the "Clear" button to override material from being applied to the current truck. The "Clear" button will also disable the "Hold" check box so that override materials are not applied to trucks that will be loaded in the future. After using the "Clear" button, the material identification will indicate the material as being "Unidentified material". This indication will continue until a bucket load is emptied.Limiting Materials Available
The office can limit the materials that are available for selection as follows:"All Materials" - All materials listed (default)"Current File" - Can select from the current primary Material Grade file only"Current and Generic" - Can select from the current primary Material Grade file and the materials listed in the machine configuration file"Generic Only" - No override is available. Can select from the materials listed in the machine configuration file.When a primary Material Grade file is changed, the "Material Selection" dialog is not changed unless the operator selects a different list or closes and then opens a dialog.The material toolbars are not updated until the current truck is sent. Material Cannot be Identified
At times, the on-board software cannot identify the material. For example when the machine is outside of the material design, the on-board software uses the same material as was last identified to identify the new material.To be able to select a material ID for material that the software cannot recognize, ask the Terrain Site Champion about the following options:
Make the "Material Selection" dialog appear if the material in a bucket cannot be identified by the on-board software. The "Material Selection" dialog allows you to select a material identity.
Make an optional annunciator, if equipped, sound while the "Material Selection" dialog is open.
