The generator is driven by a piston motor that is controlled by a control valve. The control valve has an on/off solenoid. When the toggle switch is in the ON position, the solenoid activates the control valve. The oil flows from the pump through the control valve to the piston motor. The piston motor rotates the generator at 1800 rpm. At a speed of 1800 rpm, the generator will create a nominal electrical output of 240 volts at 60 hertz. The generator is rated at 23 kilowatts.Main Circuit Breaker (23 kW)
Illustration 2 g01097090
The 23 kW generator circuit breakers (1) are located inside the generator housing. There are four circuit breakers. There is one circuit breaker for each heating element. There is (3) a circuit breaker for the power distribution box.Power Distribution Box (2) is powered up every time when the generator is activated. A green light indicator (4) appears when the power switch is in the ON position. When the 23 kW generator is activated by the toggle switch on the center console, the engine low idle will increase. When the toggle switch for the 23 kW generator is in the OFF position, the engine low idle speed reduces the engine rpm.The Control Switch is in the OFF position

Oil flows to load sensing valve (10), pressure compensator valve (12), and control valve (4) .The control switch has an on/off solenoid valve. When the control switch is in the OFF position, the control valve (4) will be closed. Oil flows to inlet passage (19). When the force of the oil pressure in inlet passage (19) becomes higher than the force of variable spring (9), the spool assembly in load sensing valve (10) moves to the right. This allows oil flow through pressure compensator valve (12). Oil from pressure compensator valve (12) flows to the piston end of displacement piston (14) and oil also flows to orifice (13). Oil from orifice (13) flows back into the hydraulic tank. The pressure setting for variable spring (9) is approximately 1600 kPa (232 psi) when the generator is at 60 hertz. The compressed length of variable spring (9) determines the force that is applied by variable spring (9) to inlet passage (19). An increase or a decrease in the force that applies by variable spring (9) changes the pressure setting of load sensing valve (10). When oil pressure
