Removal Procedure
Start By:
Separate the hydraulic rotator from the lower housing. Refer to Service Manual, "Hydraulic Rotator and Shear Housing - Separate".

Rotate the gear and bearing until the grease fitting is at the top. Remove the grease fitting from the gear and bearing. Install a M10 x 1.5 lifting eye, an appropriate nylon lifting sling, and a hoist to gear and bearing (2).
Remove 36 bolts (1) that secure the gear and bearing to the lower housing. Lift the gear and bearing from the work tool. The weight of the gear and bearing is 192 kg (423 lb).Installation Procedure

Install a M10 x 1.5 lifting eye to the hole for the grease fitting. Attach an appropriate nylon lifting sling and a hoist to the lifting eye on gear and bearing (2). The weight of the gear and bearing is 192 kg (423 lb).
Apply 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of 36 bolts (1) that secure the gear and bearing to the lower housing.
Lift the gear and bearing into position on the work tool. Install the 36 bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 530 70 N m (391 52 lb ft).End By: Connect the hydraulic rotator to the lower housing. Refer to Service Manual, "Hydraulic Rotator and Shear Housing - Connect".
