Parking/Secondary Brake
Do not engage the parking/secondary brake while the machine is moving unless an emergency exists. The use of the parking/secondary brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the parking/secondary brake system.
Parking/Secondary Brake - The parking/secondary brake is located on the operators control panel. Parking/Secondary Brake Engaged - Push down on the knob to engage the parking/secondary brake. Parking/Secondary Brake Disengaged - Pull up on the knob to release the parking/secondary brake. The parking/secondary brake is automatically engaged when the engine is stopped.Governor Control Lever
Engine governor high idle has been set to run at 2450 to 2600 rpm. This idle speed is necessary for optimum vibratory efficiency and should not be raised or lowered.
Governor Control Lever - Pull the lever up to increase the speed of the engine and push down to reduce the engine speed. Engine Stop - Push the lever fully down and hold in position until the engine stops.Direction Control Lever
Forward (1) - Slowly push the direction lever forward away from center to move the machine forward. The farther forward the lever is pushed the faster the machine will travel. Stop (2) - Move the direction lever to the STOP position to stop the machine. This procedure should always be used as the primary method of stopping the machine. Reverse (3) - Slowly pull the direction lever back away from center to move the machine backward. The farther back the lever is pulled the faster the machine will travel.Speed Control Knob
Speed Control Knob - Rotate the speed control knob to the desired speed. Change speed when the machine is at a stop for more operator comfort. The selected speed is obtained when the direction control lever is at full forward or full reverse position.Transmission Speed Range Switch
Stop machine to shift speed ranges. Do not change speed ranges while the machine is moving. Machine damage can result.
High (1) - Moving the transmission speed range switch backward, places the machine in HIGH or roading range. This increases the overall machine speed and is used to move the machine from one job to another. Low (2) - Moving the transmission speed range switch forward places the machine in LOW or working range. This reduces the overall machine speed, allowing the operator increased control.Steering Wheel
Steering Wheel - The directional steering, of the machine, is controlled by the steering wheel. The direction the steering wheel is turned, is the direction that the machine will turn. Left Turn - Move the steering wheel in a counterclockwise direction to steer the machine to the left. The further the steering wheel is turned in a counterclockwise direction the sharper the left turn. Right Turn - Move the steering wheel in a clockwise direction to steer the machine to the right. The further the steering wheel is turned in a clockwise direction the sharper the right turn.Vibratory Mode Control Switch
