Troubleshooting Methods
Many of the connections between the harnesses on the 910 are made with plastic bullet connectors. If these connections are not tight, they can be the cause of electrical problems, either permanent or intermittent (come and go). Make sure the connections are tight before other tests are made.The 5P7277 Voltage Tester can be used to check a circuit for voltage. The 8S4627 Circuit Tester can be used to test circuits without voltage for continuity. The light in the 8S4627 Circuit Tester is dim (not much light) with a 10 ohm resistance in the circuit. It becomes brighter (more light) with less resistance.The 6V3030 Multimeter can be used to measure circuit voltage or circuit resistance (continuity). The instructions that come with the multimeter tell how to use it.Failure of an electrical component can cause or be caused by the failure of one or more other components. Always find and correct the cause of the failure of an electrical component before making a replacement of the component.

The block diagram of the 910 Wheel Loader shows the flow of electricity to the different parts of the system. It does not show all components, wires and connections. The block diagram shows which of the components work together.The 40 amp manual circuit breaker is on the right hand instrument panel. The 15 amp fuses for the defroster, horn and heater are toward the back of the right hand console. The 30 amp auto circuit breaker for the lights is on the back side of the left hand instrument panel. The 5 amp fuse for the bucket positioner circuit is in the right hand control console.A dashed line in the block diagram is an indication of a control connection (a switch activates a solenoid or relay). Use the table that follows for identification of wire and connector colors in the schematics. Two colors divided by a line are an indication of a wire with a stripe (one color with a line along it of another color). R/LT GR is a red wire with a light green stripe.The harnesses fasten together with plastic bullet connectors.
