Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Disconnect hose (2) from radiator top tank (1). Remove bolts (3).

Disconnect hose (4). Disconnect harness assembly (5). Disconnect hose (6). Remove bolts (7) in order to remove radiator top tank (1). Installation Procedure

Install radiator top tank (1). Install bolts (7). Connect hose (6). Connect harness assembly (5). Connect hose (4).

Install bolts (3). Connect hose (2) onto radiator top tank (1).
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
