Park the machine on a level surface. Partially extend the ejector cylinder. Install the steering frame locks. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses and tubes. This helps prevent fluid loss and contamination of the oil system.

Start the engine. Extend the ejector cylinder until the ejector blade is halfway up the ejector body. Allow adequate space for the placement of Tooling (A). Stop the engine and turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Loosen nuts (2) on both sides of the ejector blade. Turn bolts (1) on both sides of the ejector blade in order to raise the floor rollers off the floor of the truck body. Note: Raising the floor rollers prevents movement of the ejector blade during the removal and installation of the mounting group.

Disconnect hose assemblies (3).

Attach a suitable lifting device to ejector cylinder (4) in order to support ejector cylinder (4) and gimbal (5). The combined weight of ejector cylinder (4) and the gimbal (5) is approximately 478 kg (1054 lb).
Remove bolts (6). Remove plate (7) and shim (8).
Remove bolts (9). Remove plate (10) and shim (11).

Remove bolts (12) and remove cover (13) from plate (7). Repeat the procedure for plate (10).

Use Tooling (B) in order to remove bearing (14) from plate (7). Repeat the procedure to plate (10).

Loosen bolts (15) on both sides of gimbal (5). Do not remove two bolts (15) at this time. Remove bolts (16) and remove cover (17) on both sides of gimbal (5).

Remove bolts (18), washer (19), spacer (20), and spacers (21). Note the position of all the washers and the spacers on both sides of gimbal (5) for installation purposes.

Slowly retract the ejector cylinder in order to separate gimbal (5) from the ejector blade. Remove mounts (22) and sleeves (23) on both sides of gimbal (5).

Retract ejector cylinder (4) in order to provide adequate space for the removal of gimbal (5). Lower ejector cylinder (4) onto Tooling (A).
Install two suitable lifting devices onto gimbal (5) in order to support gimbal (5), as shown. The weight of gimbal (5) is approximately 115 kg (254 lb).
Remove bolts (15) and bearing caps (24). Repeat the procedure on the other side of gimbal (5).

Remove gimbal (5) from the machine. Remove bearings (25) and washers (26) from both sides of ejector cylinder (4).
