Sudden movement or accidental starting of the machine can cause personal injury or death to persons on or near the machine.To prevent personal injury or death, perform the following:Park the machine on a smooth, level surface.Lower the work tool to the ground and engage the parking brake.Stop the engine and remove the key.Block the wheels and install the steering frame lock.

Remove cab roof cap and headliner as necessary in order to access the cab wiring harness.

Install lamp (1) to bracket group (4) using screw (2).
Route harness through clips (9).
Install bracket (4) and clip (9) to mounting bracket group (6) using two screws (8).
Install sub assembled components to cab with two bolts (7) and two washers (5).

(11) Warning Beacon Harness As
Route the warning beacon harness (11) as shown in Illustration 2. Secure with three cable straps (3).
Connect the warning beacon harness (10) to the M-C6 connector (10) on the cab wiring harness.
Using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET), configure the warning beacon to enable operation.

(12) Push Button
Activate the warning beacon by pushing button (12) on keypad 1.For more information on the operation of the warning beacon, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine being serviced.
