Remove the R/H panel from the cab.
Start the machine and run the engine at 1000 rpm.Move the heater control knob to the max cool position. Place the fan knobto number 4 position (Max).
Switch the air conditioner switch on (the switchis located on the R/H side of the dash).
Run the machine in this state for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes keep the engine and cooling systemin the above state and have a second person feel the inlet hose and outlethose of the dryer. The inlet hose should be RATHER WARM and the outlethose should be VERY COLD. The inlet hose to the evaporator should alsobe VERY COLD. The line from the outlet side of the evaporator to the inletside of the accumulator should be COOL and the outlet line from the accumulatorto the compressor should be LESS COOL.
IF THE LINE FROM THE OUTLET SIDE OF THE ACCUMULATORTO THE COMPRESSOR IS COLDER THAN THE LINE FROM THE OUTLET SIDE OF THE DRYER,THE ACCUMULATOR IS ACTING AS THE ORIFICE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED WITHTHE NEW 1866189/">186-6189 ACCUMULATOR.
REPLACING ACCUMULATOR PROCEDUREPROCEDURE FOR REPLACING THE AIR CONDITIONERACCUMULATOR
Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioningcircuit.
Refer to the below illustration and remove theinlet hose and outlet hose from the accumulator.
Refer to the below illustration and remove thebolts/washers (A) and clamps (B) from the accumulator (C).
Remove the accumulator (C).
Refer to the below illustration and install thenew 1866189/">186-6189 accumulator using the clamps (B), bolts/washers (A) that wereremoved in step 3. Tighten the bolts to a torque setting of 55 +/- 10Nm(40 +/- 7lb/ft)
Install the inlet and outlet hoses to the accumulatorand tighten to a torque setting of 44 +/- 4Nm (32 +/- 3lb/ft).
Charge the air conditioning system with 2.1kgof refrigerant.
Install the R/H cab panel and the six bolts/washersand tighten to a torque setting of 55 +/- 10Nm (40 +/- 7lb/ft).
