Setting Up the Display for Operating Mode
From the main AccuGrade operating screen, pressing the mode button (3) two times will take the operator to the operating mode configuration screen. Use this screen in order to configure the mode of operation for the AccuGrade system. The choices for this screen include reference mode and cut/fill mode. Refer to Illustration and Illustration 2.
Illustration 1 g01854564
When you enter the configuration screen for operating mode, operating mode "Op Mode" will be displayed. The current setting will be displayed when the up arrow or the down arrow is pressed for the first time. Subsequently, the setting will change each time that the button is pressed. If the setting has not changed for 2 seconds, then the current value chosen by the operator will flash on the screen once. The value will then be configured into the AccuGrade control module. If the operator presses the mode button (3) to navigate to the next screen prior to the expiration of the 2 second timer, then the new setting will be accepted and configured into the AccuGrade controller.
Illustration 2 g01854559
Reference mode is the default mode of operation and allows the operator to benchmark the system and apply an offset to the reference elevation. When the system is in reference mode, the AccuGrade run-time screen displays the elevation offset value.
Illustration 3 g01880625
Cut/fill mode allows the operator to check the grade of the surface. When the system is in cut/fill mode, the AccuGrade run-time screen displays the elevation error. This error value indicates how far the blade is above or below the desired grade. When the operator is operating in the cut/fill mode, the operator can perform a benchmark of the system and enable automatic controls. However, the operator cannot apply an elevation offset.Setting Up the Laser Receiver
To prevent possible personal injury during the installation and the removal of the laser receiver, remove the mast from the work tool. Place the mast at ground level. Secure the receiver to top of mast. Then, return the mast to the work tool and secure the mast by applying sufficient torque to the mounting hardware in order to prevent the mast from turning and/or vibrating loose. When adjusting the position of the receiver on the mast, use the nonslip tread on the machine and work tool in order to access the mounting location of the laser receiver at the top of the mast. Maintain three points of contact while adjusting the laser receiver. Do not step on the work tool where nonslip tread has not been provided.
Attach the laser receiver to mast.

(10) AccuGrade connector
Use the coil cable in order to connect the laser receiver to the AccuGrade connector (10) on the machine.Setting Up for Operation
Move the machine to the work area.
Position the implement so that it is on grade.
Manually raise or lower the laser transmitter until laser strikes are hitting the LR410 laser receiver. Use the LEDs on the top of the LR410 in order to indicate when the strikes are hitting the laser receiver.Note:
