( 1 ) The new harness is needed if the machine had fault codes (298). The new harness is also needed if steering the machine shifts the machine into neutral.
Remove the seat from the operator's station of the tractor.Reference For seat removal, reference the Disassembly and Assembly instructions.
Remove the console covers from the left side operator stations in order to allow access to the power train ECM.

(1) 200-4574 Plate As (2) 221-3213 Wiring Harness (3) 7K-1181 Cable Straps (4) Code Plug (CP)
Disconnect the Code Plug (CP).
Remove the existing 221-3213 Wiring Harness .
Remove existing 200-4574 Plate As .
Install new 200-4574 Plate As (1). Refer to Illustration 1.

Install ten 7K-1181 Cable Straps in sequence. (A) 221-3213 Wiring Harness to tie link (B) 221-3213 Wiring Harness to tie link (C) 221-3213 Wiring Harness to tie link on 200-4574 Plate As (D) 221-3213 Wiring Harness to tie link 200-4574 Plate As (E) 3-Pin connector on 221-3213 Wiring Harness to tie link on 200-4574 Plate As (F) Attach to the loom only. Do not attach the cable strap to the shaft of the tiller. (G) Attach the 6-Pin Connector on the 221-3213 Wiring Harness to the 3-Pin Connectors on 221-3213 Wiring Harness. Do not attach the cable strap to the shaft of the tiller. (H) Tie the 12-Pin Connector to 221-3213 Wiring Harness to the braided breakout on the 221-3213 Wiring Harness. Allow as much slack as possible between the cable strap (G) and cable strap (J). (I) Tie the Breakout at the 221-3213 Wiring Harness and the pigtail for the parking brake to the tie link on the 200-4574 Plate As. Do not attach the cable strap to the shaft of the tiller. Position the cable strap in order to provide as much slack as possible between cable strap (G) and cable strap (J). (J) Tie the Breakout at the 221-3213 Wiring Harness and the pigtail for the parking brake to the tie link on the 200-4574 Plate As. Do not attach the cable strap to the shaft of the tiller. Position the cable strap in order to provide as much slack as possible between cable strap (G) and cable strap (J).
Install the new 211-3213 Wiring Harness. Refer to Illustration 2.Note: Install the cable straps to the wiring harness in accordance to the sequence that is outlined in Illustration 2.
Reconnect the Code Plug (CP) that was removed in Step 3. Attach the Code Plug (CP) to the 211-3213 Wiring Harness between cable strap (A) and cable strap (B) with a tie strap.
Install the console covers to the left side operator station.
Install the seat in the operator station.
