VALVE GP-RELIEF 9T7184 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the nut and bolt (1). Remove grease fitting (2). 2. Use bar (3) to open the bracket enough to remove shaft (4).3. Remove shaft (4). 4. Remove O-ring seal (5). 5. Remove bushing (6) from roller (7) with tooling (A) and a press. The following steps are for installation of ejector front guide roller.6. Install bushing (6) in roller (7) with tooling (A) and a press.7. Install O-ring seal (5).8. Use bar (3) to open the bracket enough to install shaft (5).9. Install the nut and bolt that hold the shaft to the bracket.10. See the 615C Scraper Hydraulic System Specifications Module (Form No. SENR3852) for clearances.Remove And Install Ejector Rear Guide Roller
1. Move the ejector to the forward position.2. Fasten a hoist to the ejector and lift the rollers from the guides plates.3. Loosen nut (2).4. Remove bracket (1). There is a key in the bracket groove. 5. Remove roller assembly (3).6. Remove nut (2) and the shims. The following steps are for installation of the ejector rear guide roller.7. Install the shims and nut (2).8. Put roller assembly (3) in position. The groove in the roller shaft must be in alignment with the groove in the bracket.9. Install the key and bracket (1).10. Tighten nut (2).11. Lower the guide roller on the guide plates and remove the hoist.12. 1. Use a hoist to lift the weight of the ejector off the rollers.2. Remove bolt (1). 3. Use pry bar (3) to open the bracket enough for removal of the roller.4. Remove roller (2). The following steps are for installation of the ejector carrier roller.5. Use pry bar (3) to open the bracket enough to install roller (2).6. Install roller (2) and bolt (1).7. Start By:a. remove ejector carrier roller 1. Remove cap (6).2. Remove bolt (5) and retainer (4).3. Remove shaft (8).4. Remove seal (3) and bearing cones (7).5. Remove bearing cups (2). The following steps are for assembly of the ejector carrier roller.6. Install bearing cups (2) with tooling (A). Pack the bearing cones and the cavity between the bearings with 2P9066 Grease before assembly of the roller.7. Install bearing cones (7).8. Use tooling (B) to install seal (3). Install the seal with the lip toward the bearings.9. Install shaft (8), retainer (4), and bolt (5). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 475 50 N m (352 37 lb ft)10. Pack roller (1) level with the top of bolt (5) with 2P9066 Grease.11. Install cap (6).End By:a. install ejector carrier roller
