This Special Instruction provides the necessary steps to make improvements to the alternator charging system on certain 950K and 962K Wheel Loaders.Adaptable To: ReferenceRefer to Special Instruction, REHS8973, "Alternator Charging System Improvement For Certain 950K and 962K Wheel Loaders".The Special Instruction is available through the normal literature distribution system. The publication can also be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).The I-terminal circuitry including wires 109 BU, K100 OR, A244 BK, a resistor, and a diode (for excitation of the self-start function) on 354-2383 Engine Harness As have been removed.This harness is adaptable to the following machines:
