Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to end bracket (32). The weight of end bracket (32) and the main rotor is approximately 1823 kg (4020 lb).
Remove four bolts (31) and install Tooling (D) .
Remove all remaining bolts (31) .
Install Tooling (G) .Note: Ensure that the main rotor stays in place when removing the end bracket.
Apply lifting pressure to the suitable lifting device. Tighten Tooling (E) and Tooling (G) equally until the pilot shoulder on end bracket (32) is no longer contacting the housing of the generator.
Apply lifting pressure on the suitable lifting device until the weight is off Tooling (D). Remove Tooling (D), Tooling (E), and Tooling (G).
Lower end bracket (22) until the weight of the main rotor is placed onto the main stator. Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove end bracket (32) from the main rotor. The weight of end bracket (32) is approximately 168 kg (370 lb). Position end bracket (32) onto suitable cribbing.

Install Tooling (H) on the non driven end of the main rotor.
Use a suitable lifting device in order to install Tooling (I) onto Tooling (H) and secure the Tooling with the included set screws (not shown). The weight of Tooling (I) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb).
Position Tooling (J) as shown.
Attach Tooling (K) to a suitable anchor and to main rotor (23). Attach a suitable lifting device to main rotor (23). The weight of main rotor (23) and the Tooling is approximately 1792 kg (3950 lb).Note: Do not allow the main rotor and the stator to contact each other.
Use Tooling (J) in order to raise the non driven end of the main rotor (23) off previously mentioned Tooling (F). Verify that there is an air gap between the main rotor (23) and stator at the non driven end of the main rotor.
Use the suitable lifting device that is attached to the driven end of the main rotor in order to raise the main rotor off previously mentioned Tooling (F). Verify that there is an air gap between the main rotor (23) and the stator.Note: Do not allow the main rotor and the stator to contact each other.
Use Tooling (K) in order to remove the main rotor (23) out of the housing. When the main rotor (23) has cleared the housing place Tooling (J) at both ends of the main rotor. Disconnect Tooling (K) .
