System Operation Description:The breaker can be controlled from signals generated from the EMCP 4.4 or from optional push buttons. If there is a mismatch in the generator and bus sensing, then the breaker will open if the breaker is closed. If there is a mismatch in the generator and bus sensing, then the breaker will not close if the breaker is open.There are fault messages that will be displayed if a problem exists with breaker operation. Fault messages are generated when the EMCP 4 cannot operate the breaker after a request is sent.Table 1 is a list of the breaker operation fault messages.

Verify that no Digital Inputs are programmed to force the breaker to operate contrary to the desired operation.
Verify that the SMS is not set to "Off", "Check", or "Manual" if automatic breaker closure was expected. Expected Result:The EMCP 4 programming is correct.Results:
OK - The EMCP programming is correct. Proceed to Test Step 4.
