Install Tooling (C) .
Use two people to install ring gear (22) on Tooling (C). The weight of the ring gear is approximately 41 kg (90 lb).

Connect and install axle housing (20) to ring gear (22). The weight of axle housing is approximately 374 kg (825 lb).

Install Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device on axle housing (20). Position Tooling (B) so that the bolts are set in the inner grooves of axle housing (20). Install the remaining 18 bolts (21) to axle housing (20). Tighten bolts (21) to 270 40 N m (199 30 lb ft).

Remove Tooling (C). Install two of 20 bolts (21) on axle housing (20). Tighten bolts (21) to 270 40 N m (199 30 lb ft).

Install the right rear cab mount (13) and the upper mount assembly (18) on axle housing (20). Install four bolts and washers (19) on right rear cab mount (13).

Install the bolt, the washer and spacer (17). Tighten the bolt, the washer and spacer (17) to 530 70 N m (391 52 lb ft).
Install the feedback potentiometer (15). Install the two bolts and washers (16) .

Connect wiring harness (14) .

Install the right rear cab mounting bolt (4) on right rear cab mount (13). Install lower mount assembly (12). Install washers (10) and (11). Install bar (5) and nut (3). Install the nut and the bolt through the hole in the frame rail. Remove the nut and bolt (9).

Position a pry bar between cab (6) and washer (7). Pry up on cab (6). Remove Tooling (A) from center housing (8) .

Tighten nut (3) on right rear cab mounting bolt (4). Repeat on the left side.

Connect electrical connector (1) and (2) on the rear right side of the cab.

Fill the center housing. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.Note: The axle with the 20 hole pattern is for the tractors with a 2032 mm (80.0 inch) base.Note: The axle with the 16 hole pattern is for the tractors with a 1524 mm (60 inch) base which is shown in this story.End By:
Install the right side covers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Covers - Remove and Install".
Install the right side undercarriage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Undercarriage - Install".
