Calibration Procedure
Use the following procedure in order to calibrate the zero calibration point and the 100% calibration point at the same time. Ensure that the following conditions exist before you perform the procedure.
The engine is running.
The parking brake is engaged.
The machine is parked on level ground.
The boom is fully retracted.
The bottom of the coupler is 150 mm (6 inch) above the ground.
A work tool is not installed on the coupler.
Front wheels and rear wheels are in the straight ahead position.

Remove display module (13) from the trim panel in order to gain access to push buttons (14), (15) and (16 ) that are required to calibrate the LSI. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Display Module - Replace" for further information.
Briefly press the push button (14) that is marked "CAL" and release the push button. This action will put the display module in the calibrate mode. Green indicator (1) and red indicator (10) should start to flash quickly. If indicators (1) and (10) do not flash, then press button (14) again.Note: If the display module is in the calibrate mode and push button (14) is pressed, the display module will return to normal operation.
Wait for approximately 15 seconds. Briefly press push button (12) and release the push button. This will store the current load as the zero calibration point. Green indicator (1) must illuminate continuously for two or three seconds. Also, the audible alarm must sound once in order to indicate that the correct zero calibration point has been set. The display module should then revert to the calibrate mode. Green indicator (1) and red indicator (10) must flash quickly.Note: When the zero calibration point is set, the 100% calibration point is set to a low value. This will cause the audible alarm to sound continuously if the 100% calibration point is not also set in the following steps of this procedure.
Pick up an appropriate work tool. The work tool must be of the type that will allow you to load the work tool enough to tip the machine forward.
Refer to the appropriate load chart. Pick up a load that is heavy enough to tip the machine when the boom is fully extended. The load must be heavy enough to just tip the machine when the boom is fully extended in order to obtain the correct calibration.
Extend the boom. Keep the bottom of the coupler 150 mm (6 inch) above the ground. Continue to extend the boom in this way until the machine tips forward. The rear wheels must be just off the ground.
Wait for approximately 15 seconds until the machine is not rocking. The machine must not be rocking or vibrating.
Press the push button (16) that is marked "SPAN+%" and release the push button. A value of 100% is then set. This is calculated from the current load which is assumed to be 110%. Only red indicator (11) must illuminate for approximately two or three seconds. Also, the audible alarm must sound three times. After red indicator
