When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
Some of the existing 384-6151, 388-7214, and 388-7215 Cable Assemblies in dealer parts stock may have poor internal quality.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect the ends of all 384-6151, 388-7214, and 388-7215 Cable Assemblies in dealer parts stock.
Conforming Cable Assemblies will have a blue zip tie attached near each connector end. These Cable Assemblies have acceptable quality and can be returned to parts stock. See Image 1 below for an example of a conforming Cable Assembly.
Suspect Cable Assemblies will not have a zip tie at either connector end. These Cable Assemblies may have poor internal quality and should be removed from dealer parts stock. See Image 2 below for an example of a suspect Cable Assembly.

SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock.
PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
