Tooling Part Number Description Qty
A 1P-0510 Driver 1 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Use Tooling (A) in order to install bearing (1) in throttle base (2).

Place seal (4) in position in the counterbore.
Use Tooling (A) in order to install retainer (3).
Turn over throttle base (2). Repeat steps 1 through 3.

Align the identification marks on the throttle base (2) and install the gasket and throttle base (2) on base assembly (5).

Install idle screw (8), the spring, and seal (7).
Turn power mixture adjustment (6) to the CENTER position between the "R" and the "L".

Install throttle lever (9), the lever stop, and the shaft.

Place throttle plate (10) in position on the throttle shaft. Install the screws and lockwashers that hold throttle plate (10) in position finger tight.
Use throttle lever (9) in order to turn throttle plate (10) from the CLOSED position to the OPEN position. This will position throttle plate (10) in the center of the bore. Tighten the screws and ensure that throttle lever (9) turns freely.

Place diaphragm assembly (12) in position on base assembly (5). Install spring (11) on diaphragm assembly (12).

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Place cover (13) in position on diaphragm assembly (12). Install the five bolts and lockwashers that hold cover (13) in position.

Install adapter (14) and the gasket to the throttle base. End By:
Install the carburetor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Carburetor - Install" for the engine that is being serviced.
