Moisture inside the joystick handle on the D5N Track-Type Tractors and D6N Track-Type Tractor can cause the blade to move without any command. Moisture can occur from the presence of precipitation or washing of the machine. Moisture enters the joystick handle near the thumb button. Symptoms include loss of joystick functions and movement of the blade without command from an operator. These symptoms may result in serious injury.Solution
Note: This solution is intended to protect the joystick from moisture until a permanent solution is identified.Cover the joystick with plastic when machines with an open ROPS are not active. The joystick must be protected during cleaning of the machine with high pressure washers. The following service codes may apply:
