Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.

Move throttle control switch (3) to the LOW IDLE position.

Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
Block the wheels. Block the drum.
Raise the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR8176, "Cab - Tilt".

Remove bolts (5) and the washers from the rear of side panel (6) .

Remove bolts (7) and the washers from the front of side panel (6) . Remove side panel (6) .

Remove bolts (8) and the washers from the rear of side panel (9) .

Remove bolts (10) and the washers from the front of side panel (9) . Remove side panel (9) .
Assemble Tool (C) .

Vibratory Pump is Shown From Right Side
Remove the plug from port "M4" (11) of the vibratory pump. Install Tool (B) in port "M4".

Remove the plug from port "M5" (12) of the vibratory pump. Install second Tool (B) in port "M5".
Connect one end of Tool (C) to port "M4" (11) . Connect the other end of Tool (C) to port "M5" (12) .

Remove the cap from the low amplitude pressure tap in port "M1" (13) . Connect one Tool (A) to the low amplitude pressure tap in port "M1" on the vibratory pump.
Remove the cap from port "M2" (14) . Connect second Tool (A) to the high amplitude pressure tap in port "M2" (14) on the vibratory pump.
Move engine start switch (4) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Move throttle switch (3) to the HIGH IDLE position.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (D) . Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 6 °C (110 10 °F).
Move throttle switch (3) to the LOW IDLE position.

Drum Pump is Shown From Left Side
Loosen locknut (15) . Watch the pressure on the gauges. If necessary, rotate adjustment screw (16) until the pressure is equal on both gauges.
Rotate adjustment screw (16) clockwise until the pressure at low amplitude pressure tap "M1" (13) just begins to increase. Note the angular position of the wrench.
Rotate adjustment screw (16) counterclockwise until the pressure at high amplitude pressure tap "M2" (14) just begins to increase. Note the angular position of the wrench.
Rotate adjustment screw (16) to the center of the two positions noted above. Hold the adjustment screw in place and tighten locknut (15) to a torque of 20 to 26 N m (15 to 19 lb ft).Note: Make sure that the pressure does not change when locknut (15) is tightened.
Move throttle control switch (3) to the LOW IDLE position.
Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
Remove Tool (A) from the low amplitude pressure tap in port "M1" (13) . Remove Tool (A) from the high amplitude pressure tap in port "M2" (14) .
