1. Put the track in position in front of each roller frame. 2. With a cable attached to the track and wrapped around the final drive housing, start the engine and put the transmission into first speed forward.3. Carefully turn the sprocket to pull the track under each roller frame as shown. Make sure the track is in a straight line with the track rollers. 4. After the track is in position under the roller frames, put a block under the end of each track at the rear of the tractor. The tracks can be installed on the tractor before or after the front of the beam trailer is lowered. The procedure given is before the beam trailer is lowered. 5. Attach a cable to the front of the tracks as shown. 6. Wrap the cable around the final drive housing, start the engine and put the transmission into first speed reverse. 7. Carefully turn the sprocket to pull the track back over the roller frame and sprocket. 8. Continue to turn the sprocket until the track is together. 9. Put the half links in alignment. Make sure the master link is clean. 10. Install the master shoe. Put 4S9416 or 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound on the body and threads of the bolts.11. Install the bolts and tighten by hand to a torque of 1500 100 N m (1100 135 lb ft). Then using the 8T9130 Hydraulic Torque Wrench turn the bolts an additional 180° 5°.Track Adjustment
Correct adjustment gives a dimension (A) of 165 10 mm (6.50" 4"). This is the sag (curve) in the track between the sprocket and front idler. Use the following procedure to check track sag.1. Remove track adjuster cover (1) and tighten relief valve (2) and fill valve (3) in the track adjuster to a torque of 34 7 N m (25 5 lb ft).2. Move the machine forward for a distance that is two times the length of the machine. Let it come to a stop without use of the brakes.3. Put a tight line between the grouser tips at the sprocket and front idler.4. Measure the distance (A) from the line to the lowest point of sag of the grouser tips.5. Do not tighten the track if dimension (B) is 178 mm (7.00") or more.6. Add multipurpose-type grease through fill valve (3) until dimension (A) is correct.7. Again, install track adjuster cover.Installation of Cab (if removed for shipment)
1. Install 7G1785 Plate (1) and 7G1786 Plate (2) with 3V3308 Washers and 0L1351 Bolts. Do not tighten the bolts at this time. 2. Put 3S6252 RTV Silicone at location (C) between plates (1) and (2) and the platform.3. Install 9P2261 Seals (3) and 9P2262 Seal (4). 4. Install a 5P7511 Seal all around the bottom of the cab at location (D). Use a hoist to put the cab in position on the platform as shown. 5.
