WVE by NTK 5D1247 Distributor Cap, 1 Pack
WVE by NTK A distributor cap receives high secondary current from the rotor and the coil; each ignition wire is connected to the cap and those wires complete the current path to the spark plug || When not replaced, the towers will oxidize or corrode creating a high secondary resistance which can result in reduced mileage, CEL, catalytic converter failure or a failed emissions test || Designed to meet or exceed OE specifications in form, fit and function || Global coverage for import and/or domestic applications

Information:
Use this procedure if the diagnostic code in Table 1 is active.

Diagnostic Codes Table
Code and Description    Conditions which Generate this Code    System Response
91-13 Throttle Position Sensor calibration required     The duty cycle for the throttle position sensor signal is less than 5 percent or more than 95 percent.     The Electronic Control Module (ECM) sets the desired engine speed to programmed low idle while this diagnostic code is active. Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) will indicate a throttle position of 0 percent while this diagnostic code is active.    There are two options for calibrating the throttle position sensor:Mechanical Calibration - During a manual calibration, two set screws on the throttle position sensor are adjusted. The set screws are for low idle stop and high idle stop.Electronic Calibration - During an electronic calibration, the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) is used to set the PWM that is equal to low idle and the PWM that is equal to high idle.
Check the Throttle Linkage for Damage.
Remove the electrical power from the ECM.
Inspect the throttle linkage for components with the following conditions:
Loose
Bent
Broken
Missing
WornRepair any damaged components.
Mechanical Calibration at Low Idle
Connect Cat ET to the service tool connector. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Electronic Service Tools".
Restore the electrical power to the ECM. Do not start the engine.
Observe the value of the "Throttle Position" on Cat ET.
Move the throttle to low idle. Adjust the throttle linkage and adjust the low idle set screw until the "Throttle Position" is 0 percent.
Increase the throttle. Verify that the value of the "Throttle Position" increases.Note: When the throttle is in the low idle position, the duty cycle of the throttle position sensor is 5 to 10 percent. The ECM converts this duty cycle of 5 to 10 percent into a throttle position of 0 percent.
Mechanical Calibration at High Idle
Move the throttle to high idle. Adjust the throttle linkage and/or adjust the high idle set screw until the "Throttle Position" is 100 percent.Note: When you adjust the high idle on some types of linkage, the low idle adjustment may change.
Verify that low idle is correctly adjusted. Make adjustments, if necessary.
When the throttle is at high idle, the "Throttle Position" is 100 percent. When the throttle is at low idle, the "Throttle Position" is 0 percent.Note: When the throttle is in the high idle position, the duty cycle of the throttle position sensor is 90 to 95 percent. The ECM converts this duty cycle of 90 to 95 percent into a throttle position of 100 percent.Note: If the high idle position and/or the low idle position cannot be mechanically adjusted to the specification an electronic calibration is required.
Electronic Calibration at Low Idle
Connect Cat ET to the service tool connector. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Electronic Service Tools".
Restore the electrical power to the ECM. Do not start the engine.
Move the throttle to low idle.
Observe the "Throttle Position" on the status screen of Cat ET.
If necessary, adjust the value of the "Throttle Input Low Idle Duty Cycle Setpoint" on the
