Information:
1. Remove screws (3) and the washers that hold the hood. Remove hood (2) from over the steering pump. 2. Put identification on the oil lines as to their location on the steering pump. Disconnect oil lines (6) and (7) from steering pump (5).3. Disconnect spring (8) from the console. Move indicator (4) free of the steering pump.4. Remove bolts (1) that hold the steering pump to the console. Remove steering pump (5).Install Steering Pump
1. Put steering pump (1) in position on the console. Install the bolts that hold it.2. Connect oil lines (4) to their correct location on the steering pump.3. Put indicator (2) in position over the steering pump. Connect spring (3) to the console. 4. Put hood (5) in position on the console over the steering pump. Install the screws and the washers that hold it.end by: a) install steering wheelDisassemble Steering Pump
start by: a) remove steering pump 1. Remove the bolts that hold the housing to the body. Remove housing (3) from body (6). Remove spiral snap ring (1) from the housing. Remove shaft (2) from the housing. Remove the spiral snap rings on each side of the bearing from the shaft. Remove bearing (5) from shaft (2).2. Remove bolts (4). Remove cap (8) from gear set (7). 3. Remove spacer (12), drive (11), and gear (10) from gear set (7). Remove plate (9) from gear set (7). 4. Remove the spool and sleeve assembly (16) from body (6).5. Remove pin (18) from sleeve assembly (16). Remove spool (15) from the sleeve. Remove the springs from the spool.6. Remove race (14), bearing (17), and race (13) from body (6). 7. Remove spiral snap ring (20) and seal (19) from body (6). Remove O-ring seal (21) from the body.8. Remove the connector from right port (24). Remove retainer (23) from body (6). Remove ball (22) from the body.Assemble Steering Pump
1. Install O-ring seal (4) in body (2). Put seal (3) in position in the body. Install spiral snap ring (1) that holds the seal in the body.2. Put spool (5) in position in sleeve (8). Install pin (6) that holds the spool in the sleeve. 3. Install springs (7) in spool (5) and sleeve (8). Make sure the curves of the springs are in contact and in the center of the spool. 4. Put race (13), bearing (9) and race (14) in position in body (2).5. Install sleeve assembly (15) in body (2).6. Put ball (10) in position in body (2). Install retainer (11) that holds the ball.7. Install the connector in the right port (12). 8. Put plate (19) in position on the body. Put drive (18) in position over pin (6). Put gear (17) and spacer (16) in position over gear for drive (18). Pin (6) in the sleeve assembly must be in alignment with gear (17) in
