Remove & Install Exhaust Elbow
1. Disconnect tube (2) from the exhaust elbow.2. Remove four bolts (3) and eight bolts (1). 3. Disconnect tube (4) from the exhaust elbow. Remove four bolts (5). 4. Disconnect tube (6) from the exhaust elbow. 5. Using tooling (A) and a hoist, remove exhaust elbow (7). The weight of the exhaust elbow is 36 kg (80 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the exhaust elbow. Check all seals and gaskets for wear or damage. Replace as required.6. Using tooling (A) and a hoist, position exhaust elbow (7) on the engine.7. Make sure the gaskets between the adapters and the exhaust elbow are correctly positioned. Make sure the gasket between the exhaust bypass and the exhaust elbow are correctly positioned. Install four bolts (3) and four bolts (5).8. Install eight bolts (1) that hold the adapters to the turbochargers.9. Connect tubes (2), (4), and (6) to exhaust elbow (7).
