HOOD REWORK PROCEDURE
Instructions for modifying/cutting fiberglasshood on Group 1 Affected Product.1.) Use appropriate personal protective safetyequipment including dust mask or similar device.2.) To prevent scuffing of the painted surfaceof the hood, apply a piece of tape to hood where the cut line and hingemount holes will be drilled.3.) Recommended method of cutting: Use jigsawwith a carbide blade. Carbide blade should be fine tooth with a minimumof 18 teeth per inch. Optional.Method of cutting: cut off blade on a pencilor die grinder taping is still recommended.4.) Make cut slowly.5.) When finished cutting, use a grinder withmaximum 180 grit finish to bevel the cut edge of the hood. This will preventfuture splitting of the fiberglass.6.) Drill size for holes in hood, 12.2mm drill(31/64)
