This is a 22-hour job. This includes6 hours to remove, cut holes, and reinstall the hood; 8 hours to removeand install the body; and 8 hours to remove the serial number plate andremove a 3" section cut out of the bottom of the pivot bore which rendersthe body scrap.
Note: Serial number of the old truck bodyneeds to be spelled out in the claim story if it is available.
Note: District Service Representatives willbe responsible for validating customer body replacement requests accordingto the guidelines. Each Dealer/Marketing Company has the option to coverfull body replacement cost or proration according the customer's receiptof fair body value.
Typical example: Machines over 8000 hoursthe customer shuld participate in the shipping and installation costs.

HOOD REWORK PROCEDURE
Instructions for modifying/cutting fiberglasshood on Group 1 Affected Product.1.) Use appropriate personal protective safetyequipment including dust mask or similar device.2.) To prevent scuffing of the painted surfaceof the hood, apply a piece of tape to hood where the cut line and hingemount holes will be drilled.3.) Recommended method of cutting: Use jigsawwith a carbide blade. Carbide blade should be fine tooth with a minimumof 18 teeth per inch. Optional.Method of cutting: cut off blade on a pencilor die grinder taping is still recommended.4.) Make cut slowly.5.) When finished cutting, use a grinder withmaximum 180 grit finish to bevel the cut edge of the hood. This will preventfuture splitting of the fiberglass.6.) Drill size for holes in hood, 12.2mm drill(31/64)
