The 389-3146 Oil Filter Gp may begin to leak on certain 305.5E and 306E Mini Hydraulic Excavators due to the following causes:
Incorrect tightening torque
Broken O-ring
Incorrect installation methodSolution
Inspect the oil filter group and find the leak. If the O-ring is cracked, replace with a new O-ring.Correct Installation Method

(1) Filter cover (2) Filter housing
Ensure that filter housing (2) is clean of any debris.
Add clean hydraulic oil into filter housing (2) .Note: Before tightening filter housing (2), make sure that the bottom of the hydraulic filter element connects with filter cover (1) correctly.
Begin by hand tightening filter housing (2) .
Finish tightening filter housing (2) using a torque wrench. Tighten to a torque of 40 5 N m (30.0 3.7 lb ft).
