WHEEL AS 1246700 - Caterpillar

Start By:
Remove the left side track roller frame. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Roller Frame - Remove".
Remove the bottom guards. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Remove".

Move the counterweight to the fully extended position. Engage the counterweight lock lever. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Counterweight Lock Lever".
Position Tooling (G) under the counterweight.

Remove cover assembly (1).

Remove pin (2).

Remove cover (3) and the spacer.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove pin (4) part of the way. Remove Tooling (A).

Use Tooling (B) in order to remove pin (4).

Attach Tooling (E) and a suitable lifting device to equalizer bar (5). The weight of equalizer bar (5) is approximately 161 kg (355 lb).
Remove equalizer bar (5) and position equalizer bar (5) onto suitable cribbing.

Remove seals (6). Use Tooling (F) in order to remove retaining rings (7).
