The engine and generator Maintenance Schedules are listed in the Operation and Maintenance Manuals. The Maintenance Schedules should be thoroughly reviewed prior to operating the XQ Rental Generator Set.The XQ Rental Generator Set requires the same maintenance procedures and schedules as a standard generator set. However, extreme operating conditions may require modified maintenance routines. The operating conditions should be monitored. Proper maintenance schedules should be followed. Implementation of a lubrication and preventive maintenance program will minimize operating costs by reducing unscheduled downtime.It is important that properly trained personnel perform any required repairs or preventive maintenance. Caterpillar dealers have trained service personnel to perform maintenance and repairs. Caterpillar dealers can provide Service Manuals for the engine, for the generator, and for the switchgear.
