Directional Shift Inhibit
This feature only applies to the power shift transmission. The directional shift inhibit prevents clutch damage upon direction request. The event will be logged if the direction shift is request with the speed select above second gear regardless of any mode and above second gear runout speed. There is no direction inhibit in manual mode. The operator can select any gear in opposite direction regardless of speed. There is a default into second gear when the operator requests the direction change from Reverse to Forward in auto mode. The machine will stay in second gear for two seconds before upshift the gear base on the output speed. There is no inhibiting from Forward to Reverse direction request for auto mode.Downshift Inhibit
This feature only applies to the power shift transmission. The system can inhibit requests to downshift to prevent engine over speeding or damage to the transmission. If the operator requests a lower gear than the currently engaged gear, the system will execute the downshift if transmission output speed is less than the maximum allowed speed for the next lower gear. If transmission output speed is above the runout speed for the next lower gear, the system will inhibit the downshift. If the request is maintained and transmission output speed falls below runout speed for the next lower gear, a shift will be made to the next lower gear. This process will continue until the requested gear is reached. If another shift request is made before the original request is processed, the last request will take priority. Autoshift Control
To access autoshift mode, the auto/manual switch must be set to auto mode. When the machine is in Autoshift mode, the automatically selects appropriate gear in response to machine ground speed to provide efficient machine operation. The shift control logic uses the operator-selected maximum gear limit, and First gear disable/enable, which are configured in CAT ET, to determine the appropriate gear.Manual Shift Control
Manual shifting occurs when the Auto/Manual switch is in the Manual position. Manual shifting allows the operator to use the shifter to select transmission speed and direction of travel regardless of transmission speeds. The system shall not provide functionality for gear Kickdown when the machine is running in manual mode.Operator Gear Select Limit
This feature only applies to the power shift transmission. The operator can select the "Maximum Forward" gear and the "Maximum Reverse" gear from CAT ETconfiguration. The manual mode option can only set the maximum forward and reverse from the CAT ET configuration based on the shift lever speed selection. The auto mode option can set the maximum forward gear up to fifth gear forward if the fifth gear is available.Programmable Top Gear
The programmable top gear only applies to autoshift mode for powershift transmissions. The "Maximum Forward" gear must be set to fifth from the configuration in CAT ET. If the machine gear selector is set to fourth gear, and fifth gear is the configured maximum from CAT ET, the transmission is shifted between fourth and fifth gear depending on the
