When the parking brakes are released manually, the machine has no brakes.To avoid possible personal injury, the tires must be blocked securely before the parking brakes are manually released.
Releasing the Parking Brakes

Turn knob (1) on the needle valve clockwise in order to close the needle valve.

Remove pressure gauge (2) from the screed counterbalance system.

Attach pressure gauge (2) to port (3) that is located next to the hand pump. Insert pump handle (4) into the hand pump. Pump the handle until the reading on the pressure gauge reaches 2415 kPa (350 psi).Note: You must perform the following step before you tow the machine.

Loosen each locknut. Turn the four bypass actuator nuts that are located on the propel pumps for three turns in the counterclockwise direction in order to open the system loop bypass.Note: After you have finished needing the brakes to be released, reset the parking brakes.Resetting the Parking Brakes

Tighten the bypass actuator nuts to a torque of 40 N m (30 lb ft).

Turn knob (1) on the needle valve counterclockwise in order to open the needle valve.

Remove pressure gauge (2) from port (3) and return the pressure gauge to the screed counterbalance system.
Remove handle (4) from the hand pump and place the handle in the holder next to the hand pump.
