In order to prevent personal injury from accidental screed movement, lock the screed in the RAISED position by using the travel lock lever in order to extend the lock pins, after the screed is fully raised.

This switch is a three-position switch. This switch has a lock in the HOLD position. To move the switch, you must lift the switch handle.To raise the screed, move the switch forward to the RAISE position (1) .To hold the screed in position, move the switch to the center position or the HOLD position (2). The HOLD position will hold the screed in any desired position. To lower the screed, move the switch rearward to the LOWER position (3) .In order to pave, the switch must be set to the LOWER position (3). Move the switch to the LOWER position in order to put the screed in the float position.
